ABOUT

Future Builders of America created a scholarship fund to assist in addressing the pressing need for a better educated and trained construction industry workforce. Traditionally, at least 10% of FBA’s general operating budget is set aside to be awarded annually through the scholarship program. Since 2000, the FBA has awarded over $120,000 in scholarship funds to students interested in a career in the construction industry.

Scholarship applications are available to the FBA Chapters Members in January of each year. Awards are available in early Spring and will be paid directly to the educational institution.   Scholarship Recipients are invited to attend and be recognized at the Summer FHBA Board Meeting held in conjunction with the Southeast Builders Conference.

Applicants should be students in good standing at a Florida secondary education program or post secondary trades program and recommended by their teachers with a strong interest in the construction industry or related trades who desire to pursue higher education opportunities but lack financial resources. An applicant should demonstrate an interest in obtaining employment in the construction industry upon graduation.

2024 Applications are due April 1, 2024

"Thanks to every one of you from FBA and FHBA. Without you guys it would not have been possible. From scholarships to mentors, you guys have been a great blessing giving many high school students and alumni's the opportunity to pursue on to a further education. Being a part of this organization has been one of the best experiences and I plan to continue participating in many events trying to return the favor to our younger generation. Again, thank you guys everything."
